The Flash: The Once and Future Flash Images
The Flash heads to the future in the next episode as Barry (Grant Gustin) tries to figure out Savitar’s identity before he loses Iris (Candice Patton) to the Speed Demon. The CW has released some official images from the episode, and looking at these, the future isn’t looking so bright.
After making so many attempts to change the past, the Scarlett Speedster will pay a visit to the future. What he finds there won’t be good, especially since this is the timeline where Iris gets killed by Savitar and his future self has given up the hero business. “It’s a future where Iris has been killed, and everyone is changed because of it,” Candice Patton told TVLine. “You see this older version of Barry Allen that hasn’t really ever gotten over the death of Iris West.” Grant Gustin later added, “He’s in shambles.” We’ll be curious to see how that all plays out in this grim future that Barry is trying to prevent from happening. We’ll also see the return of both Mirror Master (Grey Damon) and Top (Ashley Rickards) as they wreak havoc in a future where Barry isn’t the hero anymore.
We also have to take note that Tom Cavanagh will be directing the episode, so it will be the first time getting to see the actor behind the camera and tackling what is sure to be an important episode.
