Jordan Peele‘s Get Out (2017) movie trailer stars Bradley Whitford, Allison WilliamsDaniel Kaluuya, Betty Gabriel, and Caleb Landry Jones. Get Out‘s plot synopsis: “Now that Chris (Daniel Kaluuya) and his girlfriend, Rose (Allison Williams), have reached the meet-the-parents milestone of dating, she invites him for a weekend getaway upstate with Missy (Catherine Keener) and Dean (Bradley Whitford). At first, Chris reads the family’s overly accommodating behavior as nervous attempts to deal with their daughter’s interracial relationship, but as the weekend progresses, a series of increasingly disturbing discoveries lead him to a truth that he could have never imagined.”

This is one of the strangest horror / thriller trailers that I have seen in some time. The Get Out trailer starts as one thing then becomes something completely different by its mid-point. There is this whole racial undertone that permeates throughout the trailer. When the horror elements are brought in, the racial undertone is mixed with it. This produces something strange and macabre. It also made Get Out, at least the trailer anyway, into something that I was not expecting. In this day and age, surprising the viewer is hard to do. Get Out may succeed.

Get Out also stars Lyle Brocato, Ashley LeConte Campbell, Marcus Henderson, LilRel Howery, Gary Wayne Loper, Jeronimo Spinx, Geraldine Singer, Jack Teague, and Jana Allen.
