The Gifted Renewed for Season 2 and Season 1 Finale Synopsis
During the 2018 TCA Press Tour, Fox announced that The Gifted has been renewed for a second season. As The Gifted was one of the most anticipated Fall TV premieres for 2017, its accumulated fans have been wondering if the show made the cut (or would be cut). The fear was amplified because the season finale of The Gifted‘s first season is going to air on January 15, 2018. With this announcement today, such speculation is now moot.
Produced by 20th Century Fox Television in association with Marvel Television, The Gifted premiered on Fox on October 2, 2017 with 4.9 Million viewers. The Gifted has remained above 2.5 Million viewers per episode during its first season. The Gifted has been ranked as the number three new drama of the 2017-2018 television season.
