Bryan Singer Confirms Stan Lee Will Cameo In Fox’s Gifted

X-Men: Apocalypse director Bryan Singer says that legendary Marvel Comics writer Stan Lee will appear in the first episode of Fox‘s upcoming series Gifted.

For the past 17 years, Singer has played an important role in the X-Men franchise. Helming the first film in 2000, he went on to direct every installment of the long-running series except for X-Men: The Last Stand, X-Men Origins: Wolverine, and X-Men: First Class. Outside of the 20th Century Fox film franchise, Singer has directed such movies as Superman Returns, Valkyrie, and Jack the Giant Slayer.

It is unknown what Lee’s exact role in the planned TV series is or if he will continue making such appearances in the program’s future. Previously, he appeared in small roles in the original X-Men film as well as Apocalypse.

The Gifted series stars Stephen Moyer, Amy Acker, Natalie Alyn Lind, Percy Hynes White, Sean Teale, Blair Redford, with Jamie Chung as the mutant Blink, and Natalie Alyn Lind as the mutant Polaris.

Produced by 20th Century Fox Television and Marvel Television, the series will focus on two ordinary parents (Moyer and Acker) who discover their children possess mutant powers. Forced to go on the run from a hostile government, the family joins up with an underground network of mutants and must fight to survive.
