Goat Trailer

Andrew Neel‘s Goat (2016) movie trailer stars James Franco, Ben Schnetzer, Nick Jonas, Virginia Gardner, and Danny Flaherty. Goat‘s plot synopsis: based on the memoir by Brad Land, “Reeling from a terrifying assault, a 19 year-old boy enrolls into college with his brother and pledges the same fraternity. What happens there, in the name of “brotherhood” tests the boy and his loyalty to his brother in brutal ways.”

This looks like one of the best, real-world fraternity films to come along in years, maybe decades. I have been around the fraternity / sorority culture for some time. Many of the elements of this trailer are true to life for previous geek practices. I said previous because hazing is taken very seriously now. The things that the “brothers” get away with in this film would be extremely difficult to get away with in 2016. I know of many fraternities and sororities that have been thrown off of campuses for hazing and/or had their charters revoked.

Drew Stelter was able to review Goat at the 2016 Sundance Film Festival. You can read his review here.

The Goat movie trailer also stars Jake Picking, Austin Lyon, Kevin Crowley, Jenny Marie Mitchell, Chase Crawford, Christina Lambert, Gus Halper, Will Pullen, Brock Yurich, and Patrick Murney.
