Warner Bros. Pushes Godzilla Vs. Kong Release Date Forward
Warner Bros. has opted to push the release date of its upcoming giant monster crossover Godzilla vs. Kong up by a week.
Although the studio continues to eye a 2020 premiere for the film, Warner Bros. has it the production from May 29th to May 22nd of that year. This may seem like a minute change to make for a movie (particularly one that is not set to come out for three years no less), but the change means that the Godzilla follow-up will open on Memorial Day weekend, a lucrative time slot.
The move is part of a larger shifting of movie release dates on Warner Bros.’ part, with several other movies having their premieres moved forward or just announced in some cases.

The New Line comedy Game Night has moved up just two days, from February 16 to Valentine’s Day on February 14, 2018.
