GOTHAM: Danny DeVito Remarks on Gotham’s Take of The Penguin

Danny DeVito The Penguin

Danny DeVito Comments on Robin Lord Taylor’s The Penguin on Gotham. Looks like Robin Lord Taylor’s portrayal of Oswalt Cobblepot on Gotham has grabbed the attention of actor Danny DeVito. It also seems that DeVito has become a fan of Taylor after watching the actor on screen in Gotham.

Speaking with Access Hollywood, the Batman Returns actor expressed some good enthusiasm after watching the show. “I’ve watched the show. I think he’s a very good young Penguin,” DeVito said. “He’s a terrific actor.”

When Taylor was asked about being intimidated by those who had the role before him, Taylor said he was nervous but glad to share the same role as DeVito and Burgess Meredith in the 1960s Batman series. With a thumbs up from DeVito, Taylor should be at ease knowing that he is doing a good job of playing the nefarious Penguin on Gotham.

So will DeVito be willing to return to the world of Gotham? “I don’t know about that,” DeVito said. “Again, it’s all about the schedules and the parts and like how the thing is written and what it would be and there are so many particulars.”
