James Gunn Reveals There Will Be A Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 3

Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn says that Marvel Studios has already committed to making Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.

Speaking to Complex about the Marvel science fiction series, Gunn explained that both he and the company are absolutely interested in making a third Guardians film, just not exactly sure when. As he tells the magazine, he is still determining how he wants to spend “the next three years of [his] life”, as such an undertaking will most certainly require a great deal of his time and effort.

Additionally, the director touched upon the role the characters will play in the upcoming Avengers: Infinity War, cautioning viewers against getting their hopes up about a proper Avengers-Guardians crossover but noting that they are an “integral part” of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and that the movie would not ignore that.

Comingsoon.net, the source of this story, shared the following about Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2:

Gunn will bring the Guardians back to the big screen with Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 on May 5. The film sees the return of Chris Pratt as Star-Lord, Zoe Saldana as Gamora, Dave Bautista as Drax, Vin Diese as the voice of Groot, Bradley Cooper as the voice of Rocket, Michael Rooker as Yondu, Karen Gillan as Nebula, and Sean Gunn as Kraglin.
