GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL. 2 (2017): James Gunn Talks About Chances of Nova Film

Nova Comic

James Gunn discusses the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. The Guardians of the Galaxy and Super director got candid about the movie and touched on the chances of a film featuring the character Nova.

With the Nova Corps. making an appearance in the first film, hopes have been raised among fans that the Richard Rider version of Nova will appear in a movie of his own. Although Gunn said that he probably would not work on such a project himself, he granted that there was “always a chance of a Nova movie”:

Gunn also gave a brief tease of an “emotional scene” involving Drax (Dave Bautista) and Mantis (Pom Klementieff). When asked if there were any practical jokes on set, Gunn replied, “Most of us aren’t really practical jokers, but we did have one day when we were rehearsing a very emotional scene with Mantis  and Drax, and they were sitting in there chairs in our rehearsal space,” Gunn said. “We were very emotionally moved; Pom had tears in her eyes, speaking this wonderfully emotional speech, and we look up and through the glass of the doorway… there’s Michael Rooker’s bare, naked ass pressed up against it. So that’s a practical joke on set. There’s another one I can’t tell you about because it’s a spoiler, but I’ll tell you after the movie comes out.”
