GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL. 2 (2017): Starhawk To Continue Appearing In MCU

Sylvester Stallone Guardians Of The Galaxy

Starhawk Will Continue To Play A Role After Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 director James Gunn reveals that Sylvester Stallone‘s character Starhawk will appear in future movies set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

While Stallone’s involvement in the project has been established for some time now, it was believed by some observers that his role would be little more than a glorified cameo. Indeed, Benicio del Toro filled a similar position in the first Guardians of the Galaxy, playing the role of the white-haired Collector.

Speaking to the Toronto Sun, however, Gunn explained that fans can expect to see more of Stallone’s character, a Ravager named Stakar who also goes by the alias Starhawk, in the future. He wasn’t sure about including him in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, but he made it clear that he was working on incorporating the character into other films.

CBR.com, the source of this story, quotes the director as follows:

“My plan is to see more of him,” the director recently told the Toronto Sun. “I’m not sure about him appearing in Vol. 3, we’ll have to see about that, but it’s our plan to see more of Stallone. Kevin (Feige) and I are working on what is going to become of the Marvel Cosmic Universe and where it’s going to go. We plan to see the rest of them in the future.”
