The Halloween pitch reel video by Federico D’Alessandro, “head Storyboard Artist and Animatics Supervisor at Marvel Studios”, stars Chadd Stoops and Gina Scoles. The pitch video was used to visually describe his take on Halloween and his vision for the remake he hoped to direct is excellent, better than the last two-thirds of Rob Zombie‘s last Halloween film. D’Alessandro pitched his vision of Halloween before it was given by Platinum Dunes to Zombie.
“Federico D’Alessandro used his skills as an artist and animatics supervisor to create a very polished animatic, alongside some keyframes.” I would love to see this blown up into a full film or at least a solid short film. I found this pitch reel far better than the Kevin Tancharoen pitch reel for The Hunger Games, though that pitch reel is a bit more visual.

It turned out pretty cool, but unfortunately while I was in the middle of working on it, talks fell through between Platinum Dunes and the Weinsteins…so I missed the boat on that one,” D’Alessandro tells us. “With Halloween being re-released to theaters soon, and October coming up, I’m hoping that readers could get a kick out of seeing a horror themed pitch animatic for a major property.
