HAWKGIRL: TV Series in Development for The CW

Hawkgirl

The CW Developing a TV Series Revolved Around Hawkgirl. The CW has had two male leads in both Arrow and The Flash, but we still haven’t had a female superhero from the network, until now. Reports are coming in that Hawkgirl may take that spot and get her own series.

We had a glimpse of Hawkgirl’s alter ego Kendra Saunders during the season finale of The Flash and in the trailer for DC’s Legends of Tomorrow. It seems that The CW has some big plans for the flying heroine as the network is planning for Hawkgirl to headline her own series, according to Spoiler TV. If the series gets picked up, we can expect Ciara Renee to reprise her role in the new series.

The site pointed out that the project is still in the early stages, but said, “If The CW decides to move forward with it, it will most likely bypass the pilot stage and get a straight to series order.” There’s been no word though on whether the show would take place before or after Legends of Tomorrow. But, it looks like this show has potential to be a hit like The Flash. We may even hear more about that during San Diego Comic Con this year.

Kendra Saunders is described as a young woman who has just started to learn that she has been reincarnated repeatedly throughout the centuries. When aggravated, her Hawkgirl persona takes over. Here’s hoping Hawkman making an appearance on the show. Would you guys watch Hawkgirl in her own TV series?
