The Incendies Movie Trailer has premiered. Denis Villeneuve‘s Incendies (2010) stars Lubna Azabal, Mélissa Désormeaux-Poulin, Maxim Gaudette, and Rémy Girard. Incendies‘ plot synopsis: “A mother’s last wishes send twins Jeanne and Simon on a journey to Middle East in search of their tangled roots. Adapted from Wajdi Mouawad’s acclaimed play, Incendies tells the powerful and moving tale of two young adults’ voyage to the core of deep-rooted hatred, never-ending wars and enduring love.” I wish more powerful films like this were released in the United States. I would like to forget what these two young adults seem to discover about their mother and their family’s past. I also doubt I would go to a war zone to find it out.
