The third TV show trailer for the Inhumans (2017) comic book adaptation by ABC has been released. A early review by another news website was not positive about Inhumans and this trailer is not dispelling those sentiments at all. On the contrary, they are reinforcing them.

Inhumans is not looking good. Netflix was able to make Iron Fist look good, if not on the same level as Daredevil, Jessica Jones, and Luke Cage, throughout all of its promos. Iron Fist turned out to be a meandering mess in its first three episodes but eventually found its shaky stride. Inhumans, from the outset, looks below average, produced with what looks like a shoe-string budget. Inhumans looks like a superhero series you would see on the SyFy channel.

Besides Black Bolt (Anson Mount), the costumes on this series look like sh*t. I can tell already that Lockjaw, the teleportation dog, is the biggest narrative and CGI mistake of the series. That animal should not be on the show or at the very least, it should only exist in flashbacks, one in which it was killed.

Black Bolt, the biggest asset of the series, a character that can’t speak, should be the Wolverine-like focal point of the series and it doesn’t look like he will be. He is the most interesting character on the show by far, especially with what he had endured all of his life.

Inhumans‘ plot synopsis: “Marvel’s Inhumans explores the never-before-told epic adventure of the royal family including Black Bolt, the enigmatic, commanding King of the Inhumans, with a voice so powerful that the slightest whisper can destroy a city. After the Royal Family of Inhumans is splintered by a military coup, they barely escape to Hawaii where they are greeted with surprising interactions with the lush world and humanity around them. Now they must find a way to reunite with each other and return to their home before their way of life is destroyed forever.”

Inhuman also stars Serinda Swan, Iwan Rheon, Ken Leung, and Isabelle Cornish.

The first two episodes of Inhumans were directed by Roel Reine.
