INHUMANS: Disney Removes Marvel Film From Schedule

Inhumans

Inhumans is Taken Off Marvel Slate of Films By Disney. It looks like the film based on the Inhumans won’t be shown in the foreseeable future as Disney has officially removed it from their slate of Marvel films coming soon. Looks like we are stuck to seeing them in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

Before fans go crazy, let’s clarify one thing: Inhumans isn’t cancelled, it just doesn’t have a release date. Disney (via ComicBookMovie) made the announcement this week that the film will not be hitting the big screens on July 12th, 2019. With Inhumans out of that date, the company hasn’t announced whether another Marvel film would be taking that spot. Perhaps a sequel to Spider-Man: Homecoming is imminent? We won’t know anything until we see how well the film does when it releases next summer.

Recently, Marvel Entertainment CEO Kevin Feige replied about the company’s current plans for the next phase of the MCU.

Since we made our initial phase three announcement, we added Spider-Man, which was a big joyous coup for us. We added Ant-Man and the Wasp, which was a big fun continuation of that story for us. Walt Disney Company has announced an Indiana Jones film for right around that same time. So I think it will shuffle off the current date that it’s on right now. How far down it shuffles, I’m not sure yet.

Based on what Feige said here, we may be getting one less Marvel film when 2019 comes rolling around, but that can all change. What do you guys think? Are you bummed that Inhumans no longer is on the cards for the time being?
