Serinda Swan To Play Medusa In ABC’s Upcoming Inhumans Series

Graceland star Serinda Swan is set to portray the character Medusa in ABC‘s planned TV co-production with Marvel, Inhumans.

In addition to her leading roles as Paige Arkin in Graceland and as Erica Reed in Breakout Kings, Swan is also known for her recurring role in Chicago Fire. Playing Brittany Baker, the actress appeared in four episodes of the NBC drama. Of course, she has previously dabbled in superhero and comic book-based projects before as well, having a guest role as the magician Zatanna Zatara in Smallville.

The character Swan is slated to play is the wife and queen of the titular team’s leader, Black Bolt. Coincidentally, it was announced just yesterday that the Inhuman monarch will be portrayed by Anson Mount.

Superherohype, the source of this story, shared the following information about the program’s production and premiere:

Set to debut this September, a version of the first two episodes of the new ABC series will premiere exclusively in IMAX theatres for a two-week window, prior to the 8-episode network run.

Marvel’s Inhumans is executive produced by Scott Buck (Dexter, Marvel’s Iron Fist) along with Jeph Loeb (Marvel’s Daredevil, Marvel’s Jessica Jones, Marvel’s Luke Cage) and Jim Chory (Marvel’s Daredevil, Marvel’s Jessica Jones, Marvel’s Luke Cage), with Buck serving as showrunner. Roel Reine (Admiral, Black Sails) will direct the first two episodes.
