IRON FIST: Jessica Stroup And Tom Pelphrey Sign On [Netflix]

Jessica Stroup Tom Pelphrey Iron Fist

Jessica Stroup and Tom Pelphrey set to appear in Iron Fist. The two actors will portray Joy and Ward Meachum in the Netflix original series based on the Marvel comic.

According to the official description provided by Marvel, the characters Stroup and Pelphrey will play are siblings who took over their father Harold Meachum’s company and made it into a powerhouse. Conflict arises, however, when protagonist Danny Rand reemerges and tries to “claim his birthright,” bringing him into conflict with the Meachums.

Their presence in the show dramatically raises the stakes for Rand, as Marvel TV head Jeph Loeb observed. Of course, this added conflict will make Iron Fist all the more exciting, as others have noted:

‘I’m very happy to have Jessica and Tom as our Joy and Ward Meachum,’ adds Executive Producer and Showrunner Scott Buck. ‘Much like Danny Rand’s past is a mystery to us, we’ll discover along the way that the Meachum children have intriguing secrets of their own.’

Marvel’s Iron Fist, the newest Marvel Cinematic Universe series coming soon only to Netflix, follows Danny Rand (Finn Jones), who returns to New York City after being missing for years. He fights against the criminal element corrupting New York City with his incredible kung-fu mastery and ability to summon the awesome power of the fiery Iron Fist.

Jessica Stroup and Tom Pelphrey join a cast that also includes Finn Jones as Danny Rand and Jessica Henwick as Colleen Wing.
