James McAvoy To Go Bald in X-Men: Apocalypse. With X-Men: Apocalypse set in the 1980s, actor James McAvoy says that he may finally lose his hair in the next film. James McAvoy spoke about the future of Charles Xavier while promoting his film The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby.
During an interview with the Huffington Post, James McAvoy told them about his next appearance as the leader of the X-Men. “I’ll be older in this one,” the actor said of young Charles Xavier’s next transformation in X-Men: Apocalypse. “[And] I think I’m losing my hair finally. And, yeah, that’s kind of all I know.”
If the following is true, then McAvoy will be getting closer to how Patrick Stewart’s appearance is in the main film series. James went from having hair in X-Men: First Class to letting his hair grow longer in the recent film X-Men: Days of Future Past. So it’s good to hear that the Charles Xavier in the 80s will be closer to the present version.
In regards to what Apocalypse will be about, James McAvoy is just as clueless as we are. “I got an email from the (producer/writer Simon Kinberg) who informed me he was getting dead excited about stuff, but he didn’t want to divulge anything for a couple of weeks, so I really don’t know.”
McAvoy adds that we can expect the film to be “apocalyptic” since the film has that in the title. “It does seem fairly global, if we’re talking apocalypse. Maybe it’s just the character’s name, but I think the nature of the film is going to be fairly apocalyptic.”
Directed by Bryan Singer, X-Men: Apocalypse will be released on May 27, 2016.
