JANE GOT A GUN (2016) Movie Trailer 2: Natalie Portman & Joel Edgerton Are Outlaws

Natalie Portman Jane Got A Gun

Jane Got A Gun Trailer 2Gavin O’Connor‘s Jane Got A Gun (2015) movie trailer 2 stars Natalie Portman, Joel Edgerton and Ewan McGregorJane Got A Gun‘s plot synopsis: “A woman asks her ex-lover for help in order to save her outlaw husband from a gang out to kill him.”

As I said when we reported on this film during the first trailer release, “Jane Got A Gun is one of those long delayed projects that faced a change of directors, casting and financial/studio troubles. Originally intended to be released in 2013 under Lynne Ramsay‘s direction with various actors dropping out, the studio, Relativity, shelved the film and eventually switched directors.

According to Slashfilm, ‘Jane was originally going to star Michael Fassbender as the hero and Joel Edgerton as the villain, and then Edgerton as the hero and Jude Law as the villain. Then Ramsay dropped out, so Law did too, and was replaced by Bradley Cooper and then, finally, McGregor. Portman was on board the whole time. Told you it was complicated.’

In any case, Jane is now finally done, thanks to everyone deciding to complete this thing under Gavin O’Connor‘s tutelage. It’ll be premiering in France this November and released state-side early next year.”

Natalie Portman is great actress, I’ve always liked seeing her work. I’m a big fan of Westerns, too, so this is definitely something I’ll check out. I hope the troubled production hasn’t ruined this film for good. I suppose we’ll see soon enough.
