JASON BOURNE (2016) Movie Trailer: Matt Damon Has Regained His Memory

Matt Damon Jason Bourne

Jason Bourne TrailerPaul GreengrassJason Bourne (2016) movie trailer stars Matt Damon, Tommy Lee Jones, Ato Essandoh, Julia Stiles, and Alicia Vikander. Jason Bourne‘s plot synopsis: “it’s Bourne through an austerity-riddled Europe and in a post-Snowden world.”

This trailer is not as intriguing as I would have hoped it would be, especially following its Super Bowl TV Spot / Trailer. The best part of this film is that Matt Damon is playing Jason Bourne again and that Paul Greengrass is behind the lens once more. I am not a fan of trailers that give away everything or major key moments that should be left for the film. That being said, this trailer is a little spartan. The plot tidbit that seems to be motivating the actions (in the second and third acts) of this trailer is a riot diversion to get Nicky (Julia Stiles) into a building or complex.

The lack of narrative is not a deficiency of the trailer. I am just greedy for information.

I was happy to see that Vincent Cassel got some screen time in this trailer as did Tommy Lee Jones but Alicia Vikander had more than I would have expected. Her Oscar win is paying off in unexpected ways.

Jason Bourne also stars  Riz Ahmed, Neve Gachev, Stephen Kunken, Sarah Armstrong, Bill Camp, Scott Shepherd, Marla Aaron Wapner, Vivian Yoon Lee, and Alexander Cooper.
