Production to Begin on Jessica Jones’ Second Season
It’s been a while since it was announced that Jessica Jones would return on Netflix for a second season, but there hasn’t been any news on when production starts…until now. It’s been recently revealed that filming was set to begin for the titular detective’s second season.
Iron Fist is already out on Netflix with The Defenders to soon follow sometime this summer, but cameras are finally rolling for season two of Jessica Jones. In a report by Comic Book Movies, some ‘No Parking’ notices were found on Manhattan’s Upper West Side, which means that filming may be starting today at Broadway and West 101st Street. Do you recognize the area that they are shooting in?
Well that’s because this location was used as exterior shots for Jessica’s apartment and her office where she runs Alias Investigations on the show. There’s also the possibility that The Defenders may also be filming there for some last-minute reshoots, but it does look like Jessica Jones may start shooting after being quiet on production for a while. Let’s not forget that The Punisher is currently shooting their series in the city, so it won’t be long until Jessica Jones begins shooting.
We don’t know much about season two, but we could be seeing the return of Nuke. There’s also been a lot of chatter about Typhoid Mary making an appearance, but we’ll have to wait and see once production begins. Are you excited for season two of Jessica Jones to begin?
