JUSTICE LEAGUE DARK: Guillermo del Toro Finishes Script

Justice League Dark

Script for Guillermo del Toro’s Justice League Dark Film Gets Completed. It has been a long wait since Guillermo del Toro announced that he was working on a film version of Justice League Dark. Well, the Pacific Rim director finally finished the script as Warner Bros. decides its fate.

Forbes has confirmed that Guillermo del Toro has finished the screenplay during the weekend and sent it over to Warner Bros. Now it depends on the studio’s response as we wait for an official announcement on when and if production starts for the Dark Universe. So we may hear a statement from the studio any day now.

This has been good news for fans so far since del Toro made the announcement of the project back in 2013. This comes after many have been disappointed that the film wasn’t on Warner Bros. recently announced DC film slate. As Guillermo Del Toro said last July, the studio plans to keep the superhero properties separate from the supernatural universe, but that eventually they would all come together.

When ComicBookResources asked last month on the status of the film, del Toro said, “Well, I know they are basically behind closed doors, determining the destiny of the whole DC Universe. And that is way above my pay rate.” However, he made it clear he’s only waiting for a greenlight. ‘If they call, I will build it!”

Justice League Dark takes on a different side of the superhero team as members John Constantine, Deadman, Zatanna, and Swamp Thing come together to fight the supernatural.
