Thomas Vinterberg‘s Kursk (2019) international movie trailer stars Matthias Schoenaerts, Colin Firth, Léa Seydoux, Peter Simonischek, and Max von Sydow. Kursk‘s plot synopsis: based on the 2000 Russian submarine disaster, “The film follows the 2000 K-141 Kursk submarine disaster and the governmental negligence that followed. As the sailors fight for survival, their families desperately battle political obstacles and impossible odds to save them.”

This looks as though it is one of the best submarine films to come along in years.

Anthony Dod Mantle is the cinematographer on Kursk. Alexandre Desplat created the score for the film.
