Legends Of Tomorrow To Feature Elyse Levesque As Guest Star

The CW has selected The OriginalsElyse Levesque to play Queen Guinevere in an upcoming episode of Legends of Tomorrow.

With the main cast of the DC Comics superhero show set to travel back to the Middle Ages in “Camelot/3000”, they will encounter Guinevere and other figures of Arthurian legend. Whether Levesque’s character will appear in future installments of the show or just this one is unknown at this point:

The episode title is obviously a nod to “Camelot 3000,” a 12-issue miniseries by Mike W. Barr and Brian Bolland. The series, which was released from 1982 to 1985, propelled King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table into the year 3000. There, the reincarnated cast of characters found themselves in an overpopulated future, but they faced the same enemy: Morgan Le Fay. This time around, however, she led an alien invasion. Merlin, Guinevere and Mordred are also involved. The series also occasionally flashed back to the original Arthurian legend.

However, it’s important to note that the “Legends” title is formatted differently than that of the original DC Comics miniseries. The show’s version includes a slash between “Camelot” and “3000,” which could indicate that the two time periods are not conjoined like they were in the miniseries. As they possess a timeship, the Legends could easily flip back and forth between medieval England and the future.
