Man of Tai Chi‘s plot synopsis: “Set in contemporary Beijing, “Man of Tai Chi” stars Chen as a young martial artist whose fighting skills bring him vast opportunities and painful choices. Reeves plays the villain. Action choreographer Yuen Woo Ping, who worked on “The Matrix” trilogy and “Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon,” directed the film’s action sequences. There are a total of eighteen fight scenes that add up to around 40 minutes.”
