The Mother (2010) Movie Trailer has premiered. Mother or Madeo (2010) is directed by Bong Joon-ho and stars Kim Hye-ja and Won Bin. Mother (2010)’s plot synopsis: “A single mom (Kim Hye-ja) has a 27-year-old son, Yoon Do-joon (Bin Won), who is her reason for living. Though an adult in years, Do-joon is naïve and dependent on his mother, and a constant source of anxiety, often behaving in ways that are foolish or simply dangerous. Walking home alone one night down a nearly empty city street, he encounters a young girl who he follows for a while before she disappears into a dark alley. The next morning, she is found dead in an abandoned building and Do-joon is accused of her murder. Thanks to an inefficient lawyer and an apathetic police force, Do-joon’s case is quickly closed, but his mother refuses to let this be the end of the story. Trusting no one, Hye-ja’s maternal instincts kick into overdrive, and she sets out to find the girl’s killer and prove her son’s innocence.” Boy does this mom show her affection for her only child and remaining family member in the world. How many moms would go to these lengths to prove her son is innocent of the crime he is accused of? She digs deep and the best part about it: no one will see her coming. Who would suspect an old lady of malice or having a hidden agenda? After The Host, I have faith in Bong Joon-ho ability to direct a family drama and I am looking forward to how he integrates it into this action format. Are you looking forward to Mother (2010)?
