My Second Screener: Let the Right One In

I’ve wanted to see Let the Right One In ever since I saw the Let the Right One In trailers. I’ve read on multiple sites how great the film is, how many festival awards its won (14 so far) and how its director, Tomas Alfredson, is unhappy about the prospect of his marvelous film being remade. “Remakes should be made of movies that aren’t very good, that gives you the chance to fix whatever has gone wrong.” Since this isn’t the case with Let the Right One In, I can see why Alfredson is irked. Digression aside, these and other reasons were why I was so pleased when I received a screener for Let the Right One In in the mail earlier in the week. I was planning on taking a train to NYC to see it and Trick ’r Treat on the same day but receipt of this makes half the trip moot. Though I have already thanked the parties that sent it to me, I would like to thank them again. Let the Right One In is a great movie and it is a great pleasure to be able to watch the film at my leisure. Look for a film review for Let the Right One In very soon.
