In the promo for next week’s third episode, Jonathan Pine (Tom Hiddleston) finally gets to become part of Richard Roper’s (Hugh Laurie) crew. In doing so, Pine manages to give some insider information on the man and his people to his contact Angela Burr (Olivia Colman). However, Pine also finds out a deep dark secret being kept by Roper’s wife Jed (Elizabeth Debicki) that may be a bit personal. Meanwhile, Burr and her U.S. colleague Joel Steadman (David Harewood) make a breakthrough when they find a new asset. In a clip, we see that Roper and Pine have a chat, as Roper is trying to understand what Pine is really up to.
