Ninja Scroll Burst Trailer. Yoshiaki Kawajiri‘s Ninja Scroll Burst teaser trailer heralds a “3-episode short animation [entitled] “Ninja Scroll BURST” [that] has been created using modern techniques”. The original Ninja Scroll is in my top ten list of all time for anime films.
I love the film. Its exciting, energetic, inventive, cool, has great dialogue, and is full of surprises. I previously wrote about the film here: 5 Essential Anime Films you need to View.
Ninja Scroll Burst might not be quite the follow-up I was hoping for – judging by the snow boarding – but some of the elements that made Ninja Scroll great are still present. Is it too much to hope for that the final product of this project will be as good as the original?

The animation film “Ninja Scroll” (1993), created by Director Yoshiaki Kawajiri has been greatly popular in America. After 20 years, a new challenge by Kawajiri and Madhouse begins. As a first challenge, the 3-episode short animation “Ninja Scroll BURST” has been created using modern techniques and this video is its teaser trailer. The official release for “Ninja Scroll BURST” is still under consideration. Please look forward to the following release.
