Weekend Impressions:

Hidden Figures will be Number One at the box office this weekend for the second weekend in a row. The drama seems as though it is a breathe of fresh air and people have taken notice. The new commercial for the film notes Hidden Figures‘ box office win from last week and the positive reviews the films has collected. The new films opening this weekend (not the films that are expanding) do not have the momentum to overtake Hidden Figures. I don’t see any of the opening films this weekend making more than $19 Million.

Patriots Day will be Second this weekend at the box office. Live By Night will be Third. Ben Affleck chooses the films he directs very careful. Live By Night looks like another winner for him. Rogue One: A Star Wars Story will be Fourth. Sing will be Fifth. This will be the last weekend in which Sing is in the Top Five at the Unites States box office.
