Weekend Impressions

Thor: Ragnarok will be Number One at the box office this weekend for the second weekend in a row. The two strongest films opening this weekend, Daddy’s Home 2 and Murder on the Orient Express, will not have the ticket sales necessary to dethrone Thor 3. Thor: Ragnarok is the only big, circus film in-theaters and it will benefit from that status again this weekend.

Murder on the Orient Express has enough mystery surrounding it and stars involved to gain enough attention to capture Second Place at the box office. I have never read the book that this film is based on so, and like others, I would be walking into the theater wondering “Who done it?”.

Daddy’s Home 2 should open in Third. It’s a sequel to a financially successfully film and stars two action stars and two comedy stars.

A Bad Moms Christmas will be Fourth at the box office this weekend.

Jigsaw will be Fifth at the box office over the weekend.

This will be the last weekend at the United States box office in which Jigsaw will be in the Top Five.
