Pacific Rim: Uprising Becomes New Title for Sequel

The sequel to Pacific Rim has just got a new title. The sequel was previously been given the title Pacific Rim: Maelstrom, but now the film will be given a new name: Pacific Rim: Uprising. It does sound like a better title from what we are hearing.

The title change was announced during a press release from Legendary Pictures. The sequel is being produced by the film’s creator Guillermo del Toro with Daredevil’s Steven S. DeKnight taking over as director. The news also comes as the studio has announced some new producers for the project. Pacific Rim: Uprising is scheduled to be released on February 23, 2018.

What do you guys think of the new title?
