4 Pompeii Clips. Paul W.S. Anderson‘s Pompeii (2014) movie clips stars Emily Browning, Kit Harington, Carrie-Anne Moss, Paz Vega, and Kiefer Sutherland. Pompeii came out in the time period. For this film to be effective, it needed to come out before Immortals, before Ridley Scott‘s Gladiator, and before Starz‘s Spartacus: Blood and Sand. If it had, it would have stood a far better chance with audiences than it does now. Riddle me this: why watch Pompeii (Titanic Rome style) when you could watch a more violent, high-end, sexual, and satisfying version of parts of this film’s storyline somewhere else and at a far cheaper price? This is why formula action films from Arnold Schwarzenegger, Sylvester Stallone, and Jason Statham films currently die at the box office (besides The Expendables franchise). Everybody has been there, done that, and now audiences want more. Inception anyone? Oh well, I will Redbox this film eventually to see Mount Vesuvius explode so that I can correlate that in my mind with Valyria’s destruction in A Song of Ice and Fire.
