Playstation Cancels Powers After Two Seasons. The Playstation Network has decided to put an end to their first television series Powers after airing two seasons. With the second season currently airing, it will be hard to imagine if the series will have any closure.

Series co-creator Brian Michael Bendis made the announcement of the series’ cancellation on Twitter. In the tweet, he said, “This is hard to tweet, but word is that @POWERStheSERIES is sadly, no more. Season 2 was the last. At least for now.” Bendis did assure fans that Marvel will continue to produce the comic books that the TV series is based on and even hinted that the show might come back in some other platform. Responding to a fan on Twitter, Bendis also added: “A powers episode generated over 4.5 million hits on youtube alone & people BTS who believe in us. we’ll see…”

Despite being cancelled, Bendis appears to hold onto hope that the superhero series will find a new home. Co-produced by Sony Pictures Television, the superhero drama follows Christian Walker (Sharlto Copley) and Deena Pilgrim (Susan Heyward) as they investigate homicide cases involving people with superpowers.
