Preacher Teaser Image

Preacher Gets It’s Teaser Image and Release Date. Seth Rogen has given more news on this upcoming show Preacher on Twitter by offering fans an official teaser image and a premiere date. Mark your calendars because AMC will premiere the comic book based series on May 2016.

Fans have long awaited for Preacher to get adapted for the screen, and next May will give those people a chance to see Jesse, Tulip, Cassidy, and the rest of the group come to life in AMC’s upcoming series. Seth Rogen, who will develop the series with Evan Goldberg, tweeted the official artwork for the show. We don’t see any of the characters in the image, but the upside down image of the church gives us an ominous feeling of what’s to come for this potentially great show. Along with the image, Seth tweeted, “Preacher is coming to AMC!!! May 2016! @evandgoldberg @SamCatlin123! The beginning is nigh!!!”

The small screen adaptation of Garth Ennis and Steve Dillon’s controversial comic series hasn’t gotten an official order to series yet, but it looks like we may be hearing from the network soon about that based on Seth’s tweet. What do you guys think of the image? Are you guys excited for Preacher?

Preacher stars Dominic Cooper as Rev. Jesse Custer, a troubled Texas minister who fuses with a spiritual entity called Genesis and becomes powerful enough to rival the Almighty Himself. Joined by his gun-toting girlfriend Tulip (Ruth Negga) and the hard-drinking Irish vampire Cassidy (Joseph Gilgun), Custer goes on a violent trek across the country in search of answers from a missing God. Lucy Griffiths and Ian Colleti round out the cast as Emily Woodrow and Eugene Root/Arseface.
