Preacher: Damsels Trailer & Clip

AMC‘s Preacher ‘Damsels’ trailer & clip stars Dominic Cooper, Joseph GilgunRuth NeggaIan Colletti, and Graham McTavish. Guest stars include Julie Ann Emery, Kim CollinsGianna LePeraJason Richard Allan FosterPrince HammondLance TafelskiPip Torrens, Dayne Catalano, and Julio Cesar Ruiz.

It looks like the word is out, and that word is God. The God Squad lands in New Orleans – figuring it the best place to find a Deity jonesing for jazz – only to find that there may be some competition, tracking down the ultimate prize. While Dominic’s (Dominic Cooper) immediate focus tips him off to the trouble, Cassidy (Joseph Gilgun) reconnects with an old acquaintance. That leaves Tulip (Ruth Negga) out on a limb, as her recent in-town history leaves her feeling quite exposed.

If Tulip feels ill at ease, I can only imagine what kind of personal Hell Eugene, the Arseface (Ian Colletti), has been going through – no, wait, it looks like I won’t have to; Eugene actually gets screen time, this episode.

If the sneak peek clip is any indication, I’d relate to Tulip feeling exposed, too. Once the God Squad lets a local liqueur slinger know that they’re looking for God (all three of them), they are led (all three of them) through a descending maze of old Big Easy architecture, to a figure I’d describe as the least likely big deal reveal since the Dancing Little Person, from the original Twin Peaks.

Of course, he turned out to mean something, so….

‘Damsels’ airs Monday, Jul. 3, at 9:00 pm EST, on AMC.
