For those waiting for an update on Marvel’s upcoming Netflix series The Punisher may want to listen to this. The anticipated spin-off series launched production last October, but we haven’t heard any other news on set. Well, it seems like the show finally finished shooting.

With production finally ending, it’s only a matter of time before we see any footage from Jon Bernthal’s take on the anti-hero. On Twitter, there were photos released from the wrap-up party for the cast and crew with Bernthal being among them. It looks like the team is in a good mood, as they should be once fans get a chance to see it later this year. Seeing them happy must also mean that filming went really well. In the past couple of months, a batch of photos popped up for The Punisher came up online giving fans a peak at what the show may look like. We saw Frank Castle sporting a beard as well as him stealing a cop car like a criminal.

The series will have showrunner Steve Lightfoot writing the first two episodes and he’ll also be an executive producer on it. Jim Chory and Jeph Loeb will also be on board as EPs as well.

Now we are just counting down the days when we get a trailer or some official photos from the new series. We still don’t have an official date for launch, but hopefully we find out soon. Are you excited for The Punisher to come out later this year?
