Rendel‘s plot synopsis: “A faceless hero Rendel is at open and ruthless war against the VALA organization: no mercy, no prisoners. The Rendel trailer starts out okay and then gets good rather quickly. The production value is high, there is style, not Versus style but style. As one would expect with a film that has nothing to lose (this isn’t Marvel trying to build a franchise), there is blood and sexual content within the film. The later is not overboard like in the last Hands of Stone trailer. The aforementioned content shows up in the last third of the trailer after the world-building has taken place.
What is kept out of the trailer is Rendel (Kristofer Gummerus)’s motivation and his backstory. Thankfully those plot points are being held back for the actual film.
