RIVERDALE: First Promo Explores a Different Take on Archie Comics [The CW]

KJ Apa Riverdale Promo

The CW Releases First Promo for Teen Drama Riverdale

The first promo for The CW’s Riverdale has finally been shown to the public, but don’t expect this to be the Archie Comics you remember. Looking at the teaser alone, this adaptation of the famous Archie comic series may end up dividing fans due to its tone and nature.

For those who have seen the teaser, viewers may have a pretty good idea of what kind of show The CW is trying to make for Riverdale. We get to see KJ Apa as the brooding protagonist Archie as well as most of his friends coming off the page of the classic comic book series. It appears that there will be a mystery surrounding the town when the show opens up. The Archie comics have been known for tackling the weird and mysterious when it comes to their stories. Based on what we saw, we can definitely be expecting that based on the vibe we get here. It has a bit of a similar tone as Twin Peaks from that teaser.

What are your reactions to the first promo for Riverdale? Will you be tuning in when it comes out on January 26? Check out the teaser and let us know what you think.
