Martin Campbell to Direct Film Adaptation of Sebastian X. Martin Campbell is returning to the comic book world after the disappointing box office from his last film Green Lantern. The Casino Royale director will be attached to directing the graphic novel Sebastian X.

According to Variety, Martin Campbell will be working with Voltage Pictures and Valhalla Motion Pictures to bring the 2005 graphic novel into the big screen. Penned by screenwriter Michelangelo La Neve and drawn by Stuart Immonen, the story focuses on an elite cop who, after a critical injury, gets implanted with memories from the world’s most dangerous terrorist named Sebastian X in order to infiltrate his group before they strike again.

Producer Gale Anne Hurd, who has some success In adapting graphic novels like The Walking Dead will produce the film along with Oscar winning producer Nicolas Chartier and Craig J. Flores. Publishers Pierre Spengler and Fabrice GIger of Humanoids will also act as executive producers on the project. Déjà Vu’s Bill Marsilii will write the screenplay.
