Thoughts

I have been waiting to see this trailer for months and it does not disappoint. The grimy tone of the trailer and its look draw the viewer in, as did the world of Revolution with no electricity when it aired on NBC. Seeing how rural humanity has adapted with no eye sight is fascinating (the main draw of the series for me).

Seeing a leader (Sylvia Hoeks’ Queen Kane) who is afraid of the future, the past, and of losing their power is a classic storyline but this setting is what adds something new to that narrative trope.

Will the children that can see be kind, giving, magnanimous, or will Kane’s worse fears come true? I am looking forward to finding out.
