SHAZAM (2019): Dwayne Johnson Says Film Could Arrive Earlier

Dwayne Johnson Thinks Shazam May Come Out More Earlier. Shazam doesn’t arrive in theater until 2019, but Dwayne Johnson thinks that the film may move up its release date. So expect that Shazam may get a chance to be on-screen much sooner than we realize.

Speaking with MTV, Dwayne Johnson gave the latest scoop on what’s going on with Shazam as it enters it’s scripting stages saying we may get to see the movie much earlier than expected.

It may happen a little earlier than what has been predicted. The script is coming in, it’s great, the support from the studio has been great. It’s just a great opportunity, especially with Black Adam where you can take a guy who starts off as a bad guy, turns into an anti-hero, we can make him vicious, a little bit of winking charm.

It’s gonna be a five-year wait to see Johnson filling the role as villain Black Adam, but maybe once filming goes underway we may get an idea of how the film turns out. Johnson hasn’t gotten any word on who would play the titular hero in the movie.
