Silence International Trailer

The international movie trailer for Silence (2016) has been released by Paramount Pictures. The first trailer for Silence gave the viewer an overall impression of the film. The international trailer shows how the Japanese brutally responded to the Christian missionaries and all those Japanese citizens that dared practice Christianity. Not only did they torture the practitioners through creative means, they also forced their families and the Christian missionaries to watch. The Japanese were trying to break their foes emotionally and physically. It is quite extraordinary to witness.

It took something rare within the seventeenth-century Jesuit missionaries to witness those atrocities yet hold firm to their beliefs and mission.

Silence‘s plot synopsis: based on the novel by Shusaku Endo, “Martin Scorsese’s SILENCE tells the story of two Christian missionaries (Andrew Garfield and Adam Driver) who face the ultimate test of faith when they travel to Japan [from Portugal] in search of their missing mentor (Liam Neeson)—at a time when Christianity was outlawed and their presence forbidden.”

Martin Scorsese‘s Silence stars Andrew Garfield, Liam Neeson, Adam Driver, Ciarán Hinds, Tadanobu Asano, Nana Komatsu, Shin’ya Tsukamoto, Michié, Ryô Kase, Motokatsu Suzuki, and Yasushi Takada.
