This trailer made me smile and then laugh multiple times. Sorry to Bother You, the type of film that this is, is totally unexpected. If Sorry to Bother You is as funny as this trailer purports it to be, this film will be a hit.
I have read news articles about minorities endeavoring to sound white on the telephone and utilizing other methodologies to make it appear, on paper, that they are not a minority. Even a character in the book Ready Player One does so. This was done so that they could get an interview, make a sale, or generally, just get ahead unencumbered by a stereotype.
Sorry to Bother You takes that premise and stretches it out into absolute absurdity (in all the good ways).
