Vincent D’Onofrio Says Kingpin Won’t Appear in Spider-Man: Homecoming. Fans who have askied for an encounter between Spider-Man and Kingpin in Spider-Man: Homecoming may be disappointed. Vincent D’Onofrio revealed that his character won’t appear in the reboot.

Despite the many rumors floating around on the appearance of Daredevil villain Wilson Fisk, portrayer Vincent D’Onofrio confirmed on Twitter that it will simply not happen. He simply tweeted, ‘Sorry folks but this is news to me. It would be great but I don’t think it will happen. V.’ So it looks like Marvel hasn’t reached out to him regarding a reprisal of his role, meaning there are no plans in place for him to appear alongside Tom Holland’s Spidey. Perhaps we may have to wait a bit longer for this to happen as the Marvel film and TV division have no interest for any crossovers to happen in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Kingpin started off as a Spider-Man villain before squaring off against Daredevil thoughout his superhero career. Having the Kingpin of Crime would’ve worked in some capacity in Spider-Man: Homecoming. However, it does seem that Marvel intends to keep them separate from each other. Are you guys disappointed that Kingpin won’t have an appearance in Spider-Man: Homecoming?

Spider-Man: Homecoming will be scheduled to release on July 7, 2017.
