Star Trek: Discovery Gets a New Poster and Premiere Date

After so many push backs and delays, CBS All Access has finally given fans what they are waiting for when Star Trek returns to the small screen.. It all starts with a release date for Star Trek: Discovery along with a new motion poster showing the new ship, The U.S.S. Discovery.

After watching that first trailer, CBS All Access recently confirmed over Twitter that Star Trek: Discovery is set to take off on Sunday, September 24. The pilot episode will air on CBS before regularly airing it on their digital subscription service. A good thing about this is that after the show’s on-air premiere, the second episode will be made available to stream on-demand on CBS All Access.

The announcement of the release date was also accompanied by a new motion poster, which gives everyone another look at the U.S.S. Discovery – NCC-1031 taking flight. Starring Sonequa Martin-Green in the lead role, the series also starts James Frain, Michelle Yeoh, Doug Jones, Anthony Rapp, and Shazad Latif. The ship on the motion poster seems to be reminiscent to the Enterprise ship in the original series but we see there are some modern touches on it to reflect on the technology we have now. This should be an interesting series for fans to check out once it makes its debut this fall. Are you guys excited for Star Trek: Discovery to make its journey on September 24? Check out the poster and let us know what you think.
