CBS All Access‘ Star Trek: Picard TV show trailer from the 2019 San Diego Comic Con has been released and stars Patrick Stewart, Isa Briones, Alison Pill, Jeri Ryan, and Brent Spiner.

Plot Synopsis

Star Trek: Picard‘s plot synopsis: “STAR TREK: PICARD features Sir Patrick Stewart reprising his iconic role as Jean-Luc Picard, which he played for seven seasons on “Star Trek: The Next Generation.” The new series will follow this iconic character into the next chapter of his life.”

Cast

Star Trek: Picard also stars Harry Treadaway, Michelle Hurd, Evan Evagora, and Santiago Cabrera.

Hanelle Culpepper directed the pilot episode.

Thoughts

This trailer has the best surprises of the con, didn’t disappoint, and completely raised the profile of a TV show that many thought was doomed to fail. I was impressed by this trailer, in a similar fashion to how I felt after I saw the full trailer for Enterprise. I am happy to see The Borg will play a role in this series as well as Data (or B4) and Seven of Nine, Tertiary Adjunct of Unimatrix Zero One.

I am actually looking forward to this TV series now (minus the CGI control displays a la Avatar).
