Bob Iger reveals Star Wars and Marvel franchises will continue. The Disney chairman stated that the company plans to make even more movies for the wildly-successful properties.

Offering no specifics at this point, Iger explained that Disney will make more Star Wars films after the current planned allotment, adding that he doesn’t know how many such films there would be or even how frequently they would be made. He continued to talk about the company’s other upcoming projects, saying that it’s lucrative Marvel property was such a rich source of characters that it it would “go on forever.”

This news is bound to overjoy fans of the popular science fiction and superhero films. Already expecting a full slate of movies from both franchises in the coming years, viewers can expect to see more epic Star Wars and Marvel stories even beyond then. Wasting no time after the monumental success of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Disney has several follow-ups in development: Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, Star Wars: Episode VIII, Star Wars: Episode IX, and an untitled Han Solo spin-off film.

On the Marvel side of things, audiences can expect to be treated to a steady supply of movies within the next four years. Captain America: Civil War, which opens on May 6th, is the next installment in the series, although viewers will also see Doctor Strange, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, an unnamed Spider-Man film,  Thor: Ragnarok,  and Black Panther in relatively quick succession.

With all this movies to see, one can’t help but worry people will experience Marvel/Star Wars fatigue. Bob Iger, however, is not one of them:

That may seem like a lot of movies over the next four years, but Bob Iger isn’t sweating it and he doesn’t think audiences are getting tired either.

“No, I don’t think they’re getting weary, but I think we keep raising the bar in terms of telling stories that bring them back, that excite them, that make it feel new and that is what we do for a living.”
