First Close Up Of The Millennium Falcon Revealed. Believe it or not, Disney’s secretive information overlords revealed the closest look that we have seen of Star Wars: The Force Awaken’s version of the Millennium Falcon in the January 2015 edition of Fortune Magazine. The cover features Disney CEO Bob Iger standing in front of the iconic ship. The Force Awakens trailer offered fans a fleeting glimpse of the Falcon in action but since then there have been no official images released. For the Fortune cover, The Force Awakens visual effects director Yannick Dusseault provided the magazine 6 options, showing the ship in a variety of ways.

According to ILM’s interview with the magazine,

“The final craft was “rendered in its skeletal form and a more layered “textured render, which were combined in Photoshop to create the final image.”

Star Wars: The Force Awakens is set to hit theatres December 18, 2015
