New Photo of Kylo Ren in Star Wars: The Force Awakens Gets Released. We don’t know a whole lot about Kylo Ren from the latest TV spots. However, Lucasfilm did unveil a new image of Adam Driver as the villainous character Kylo Ren from Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

In the full image from Empire, we have Kylo Ren front and center as he we see behind him a couple of First Order Stormtroopers leaving a firefight. Not much is known about Kylo Ren, except that he was originally a member of the Knights of Ren and a commander of the First Order. The First Order emerged after the fall of the Galactic Empire as they continue fighting off the rebels.

Speaking with Empire, Driver opened up about Ren, explaining that he is more of a fanatic than a traditional villain. “When they think of their actions as morally justified,” Driver said. “It makes them dangerous and unpredictable. There’s no level they won’t go to to accomplish what they’re after. I never thought of the character as an evil person.”

In Star Wars: The Force Awakens, it is set 30 years after Return of the Jedi, with the original cast members joining the next generation in the saga.
